Chief Legal Officer, Cargo Transporters, Inc.
Meredith O. Priestley is Chief Legal Officer for Cargo Transporters, Inc., an asset-based transportation company providing truckload dry van service throughout the 48 continental United States. Since joining the company in 2004, she has helped guide the organization through complex legal, operational, and risk-management matters while supporting a fleet of more than 500 tractors and 1,900 trailers.
In her role, Meredith oversees the company’s legal affairs and has responsibility for the Human Resources, Safety, and Recruiting, and Marketing departments. Her work spans litigation management, contract negotiation, accident and workers’ compensation claim oversight, regulatory affairs, corporate risk management, employee benefits, 401(k) plan committee work, and the corporate insurance program.
Meredith is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and the Catawba County Bar Association. Cargo Transporters is an active member of the American Trucking Associations, Truckload Carriers Association, North Carolina Trucking Association, and South Carolina Trucking Association.
