Jerrod Mounce serves as Vice President of Energy and Sustainability for J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. He leads the company’s efforts in the areas of alternative power vehicles, emissions regulation compliance, energy procurement, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) disclosures. Jerrod has 26 years of experience at J.B. Hunt with a background in operations, engineering, and finance. He and his team work closely with the company’s sales force and their customers to produce solutions toward shippers’ greenhouse gas reductions targets in transportation. In 2022, Jerrod and his team established the company’s first formal emissions reduction target. Relying on a combination of increased diesel efficiency, biogenic fuels, and the incorporation of alternative fuel vehicles, J.B. Hunt seeks to reduce scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas intensity by 32% by the year 2034.
