Andy Owens
CEO & Manager, A&M Transport and ATRI RAC Chairman

Andy Owens started in the trucking industry in 1972 when his father purchased his first truck.  He has been involved in all aspects of the family business since then and is now the CEO/Manager of A&M Transport, a 110-truck company.  The company operates throughout the five western states as a full truckload, multi-commodity carrier.

In 2015, Mr. Owens was appointed to SOWIB (Southwestern Oregon Workforce Investment Board) to represent the transportation sector.  He also advises the board on creation of truck driving opportunities and helps them to develop tuition funding for individuals entering the industry.  In addition, he sits on the executive board of the Oregon Trucking Association and is the organization’s current past board chair.  As an active member of the American Trucking Associations (ATA), he was recently appointed to ATA Workforce Policy Committee and ATA Supply Chain Security Policy Committee.  

Andy is also a member of the advisory committees for both Umpqua Community College (Douglas County, Oregon) and Rogue Community College (Josephine County, Oregon) for their truck driving schools.
