Jeff McKinney, CDS, has been vice president of safety at Jetco for more than 15 years and for The GTI Group since it acquired Jetco in 2019. In his current role, Jeff ignites the company's safety culture, implementing safety strategies across six logistics and transportation operating units spanning 12 facilities. He ensures safety is not just a department, but everyone's responsibility - in the office, on the road and at home.  

  His passion for safety has been forged over a 40+ year career, originally sparked during his time serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he discovered his own personal core values – trust, loyalty and safety – that still guide him and his safety strategies today. Jeff then became a police officer in Atlanta, GA, where he identified and honed his passion for transportation safety, leading him to become a professional truck driver for 17 years before moving out of the truck cab and into the office.
