VP On Highway Market Development, Daimler Trucks North America

As Vice President, On Highway Market Development for Daimler Truck North America (DTNA), Greg Treinen is responsible for positioning and go-to-market strategy for Freightliner and Western Star on-highway products. His team is responsible for on highway segment strategy, product marketing, dealer training, as well as powertrain and e-mobility marketing. 

Greg joined the Daimler Truck family in 2002 as part of the used truck acquisitions team at Daimler Truck Remarketing and spent more than three years on the Economic and Trucking Intelligence team. During his time with DTNA, Greg has held a number of managerial roles in the marketing organization, with more than a decade of experience leading cross-functional teams across multiple brands, products, market segments and emerging technologies. He led marketing and market development strategy for DTNA’s connected vehicle services and was instrumental in setting the vision for DTNA’s initial marketing communications efforts for e-mobility and autonomous trucking. Most recently, Greg led cross-functional teams in launching the Western Star 47X and 49X, and the Freightliner Plus Series. In this role, he was also responsible for leading the heavy-duty vocational product marketing team in developing go-to-market strategies and execution for new product options for Western Star and Freightliner vocational trucks. 

Greg has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from University of Oregon and a masters of business administration (MBA) degree from University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
