Dean Key has been a professional truck driver for 38 years and has accumulated 900,000 accident-free miles. He is a professional truck driver with Ruan Transportation Management Systems. 

Dean has won numerous quarterly safety awards. In 2021, he was the Iowa Motor Truck Association Master Driver of the Year. He earned Ruan’s 2-million-mile accident-free award. Dean was nominated for the Ruan Driver of the Year in 2015, 2017, and 2021 and was inducted into the winners’ circle in 2017 and 2021. 

He has been a Ruan Team Safety Instructor since 2016. He has competed at the Iowa Truck Driving Championships, placing many times in different classes. Dean was awarded the Iowa Motor Truck Association's 2021 Master Driver of the Year award. He was also appointed as the Iowa Motor Truck Association Driver Ambassador in February 2022. 

Dean lives in Primghar, Iowa, with his wife Lori. They have a daughter and two grandchildren.
