President and Co-owner, Wright Transportation
Daniel Wright is President and co-owner of Wright Transportation, Inc., a full truckload and logistics company headquartered in Mobile, Alabama. Since becoming President in 2017, Daniel has led the company’s transformation, doubling revenue while expanding the fleet to more than 220 trucks and growing the team to over 250 employees. Under his leadership, Wright Transportation has earned national recognition for its industry-leading safety culture, operational excellence, and sustainability initiatives, including the prestigious ATA Comp Fund Top Safety Award.
Growing up in the family business, Daniel gained firsthand experience by working virtually every role within the company—from washing trucks and performing maintenance duties to dispatch, operations, and executive leadership. This hands-on foundation, combined with a Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management from Auburn University, has shaped his practical, people-focused approach to leadership.
Daniel is deeply committed to advancing the trucking industry and strengthening his community. He currently serves as Chairman of the Alabama Trucking Association, is a Board Member of TruckPAC and the Alabama Trucking Association Foundation, and serves on the Board of Advisors for the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce. In addition to his industry leadership, Daniel is passionate about giving back through coaching youth football and supporting local schools, charities, and community organizations.
